Tan Wen Zhong, 21, admitted to five charges, including "outraging the modesty" of the woman who shared the lift with him and "fraudulent possession of women's underwear," Singapore's Straits Times reported. The paper said a subsequent police search of his apartment turned up 46 pieces of women's underwear and bikinis as well as four obscene films.

I was shown something on friday that I think is going to change the internet advertising industry. This is going to give publishers a way of getting paid for every visitor to their site, not just the ones who click the ads. Best of all advertisers will be able to place extremely geo targetted and subject targeted ads for a great price.

So what is this new technology?

So how does it work - well publishers will just place a line of javascript code on their site, which communicates with the networks servers - and then when a person comes to the page they hear a 5 second audio ad that the advertiser recorded. I heard one for taco bell the other day and it was effective and extremely non intrusive!

I was so shocked after I heard one - that I decided to call up and talk to the owner of the company. He explained to me some of the research and the design of how this all works. Best of all - he explained how they can target the ads based on subject matter and location. It is just amazing.

So why am I telling you about it - well for one thing - I think your website would benefit from being a publisher. But there is also a small referral commission as well built in - based on your earnings as a publisher.

I have seen a lot of buzz going around lately about Pay Per Play audio ads (PPP).  At first I was skeptical about them, thinking about it slowing things down or saying silly phrases that were off topic.

Being the skeptic that I am - I decided to wait till I bumped into one on someones page - sure enough I did - I heard on a website - it was for Taco Bell - not only was it short and sweet - but it made me think about Tacos.  So I did some home work and I called one of the principals of the company.

He explained to me all the technology that made everything work as well as why it would not yet be fully functional until February 1, 2008.  They have to go through a ratings type period with an independant audit to have listenership to show to the advertisers so they know what they can sell.

He also explained to me all the targeting that will go on and how everything works to ensure that the ads do not slow down a page view - which was one of my biggest concerns - nobody wants a slow loading site because of an advertisement - just look at myspace - it loads slow - mainly because of ads.

After learning about all that is involved - I decided to join PPP - and I will be placing it on all of the sites I run - including ArticleSnatch - and this blog.  This service is going to be a huge plus for advertisers as well as publishers.  I look forward to getting the code installed on the site.

I spent about an hour on the phone yesterday with a person who works at the tech support department of Godaddy. I have most of my domains registered there and I was having a problem with some email going through.

After we discussed the reason I was calling - the person of course tried to upsell me some addons. This time he was talking to me about the Godaddy Discount Domain Club. Well I thought about it for a little bit and realized that it would be saving at least $2 per domain even at the bulk pricing and it came with several other things like free cash parking.

I asked him to go see if they have a coupon as godaddy almost always has coupons they can use if you call in. Mind you the staff there is not on comission, but it does look good when they are selling. So he came back with 10% off. I went to google and searched for Godaddy coupons - and came with one that was for $20 off $75 or more (CATALOG1 is that code). He typed it in and bingo I got my discount.

After I hung up the phone, I realized that I was sitting on about 40 domains that I wasn't really using. Domains I had purchased for one reason or another. Mainly things for projects or for companies I was no longer promoting. So rather than let them go to waste or forward them to a random lead capture page, I decided I would try out the Godaddy cash parking system.

Below is the list of domains I decided to park as well as some of the keywords that i entered for this case study. I will post back periodically with any updates I come up with or tips and tricks. Some of these I set up as default, others I picked a new theme and typed in 4 keywords (yes you are only allowed 4). I designated a few of them as able to show adult links as well - just to experiment and see what happens.
